Kunal Grover (born 1999) from finding his passion in writing or more of a hobbyist in the print and media world, all during the course of his bachelors in hotel management from one of India’s top universities, a part of Chandiwala Estate and GGSIPU, South Delhi; now finds himself as a post graduate student in business administration from yet another reputed university, Delhi School of Business. It wasn’t easy for Kunal to set foot in the world of books as an author. Everyone reads but becoming an author with no prior knowledge in the same came with ups and downs. He has always seen the world in the true artistic way of human conflicts and their lost causes wrapped around the few good old values humans want to grasp such as love, peace and humanity who are yet blinded to see it already existing behind the wall of their desires, cruelty and greed! And this quality trait of Kunal set him different from other genre authors that served as his own distinct writing style, because he believes that in a world full of existing successful artists/authors/creators, one has to create something new, especially, all this darkness fused with science fiction and dragging as a family saga where the readers are always waiting for the end whether the author will give light to this darkness and end the crime-drama on a happy note or not? 3 years and a few extra months… That’s the time period it took me to write this book; the entirety of these three novels forged into one complete and reimagined trilogy…
… A journey of not only the protagonist, Karan, but behind the curtains, that of the author… From the very first inception of the character, the plot, the drama, the events, to leading the path to victory and a conclusion… the path stone-built by me for only Karan to walk on and meeting his fate…
These 3 years I invested time and emotions to lifeless characters, nurturing them as my own and turning them to actual humans, even though fictitious, I agree, although…
… Once I did, Karan, my child, whom I raised, came out of his cocoon with wings and carried the story and its weight on his shoulders. He walked that path I created for him, took those baby steps and proved my patience worthwhile. Even though Karan’s story is nowhere near to mine, with added spy-thriller drama and elements of science fiction; he still derived his roots from me in a way. On the other hand, once he sailed and steered himself with the tides of the sea (the story), he too in an unimaginable and unexpected way taught me life lessons; one being not to trust anyone so foolishly and easily and another being not losing faith and that, there is always a brighter future.
In a way, this symbiotic relationship, though a complete fiction and unreal for him, still taught me coping up with the world with many other gifts and translations, that I intend to take on with me to this real world…
I cherish these years I spent with, learnt from and taught to Karan and I now put my pen down, presenting this spy-drama, thrilling and mind-bending story with you all, my readers; and want to let you all know that I am always open for feedbacks and reviews in the community.
I also acknowledge the love and care I received from my family members and close friends and hope I could be strong enough to stand to their expectations and give them all the love and care they deserve from me.
